This policy explains how the personal information we hold will be used by Money Debt and Credit Ltd.
We purchase data subjects information from 3rd party lead suppliers for the purpose of marketing our products and services.
We collect further personal information about individuals (referred to as data subjects) when we either contact a potential client regarding our products or services or, when they complete a form on the internet.
Uses of information under the Data Protection Act 1998
Money Debt and Credit Ltd are committed to adhering to the requirements and principles of the Data Protections Act 1998:-
Personal data should be obtained and processed fairly and lawfully
Personal data can be held only for specified and lawful purposes
Personal data should be adequate, relevant and not excessive for the required purpose.
Personal data should be accurate and kept up-to-date
Personal data should not be kept for longer than is necessary
Data must be processed in accordance with the rights of the data subject
Appropriate security measures must be taken against unauthorised access
Personal data cannot be transferred to countries outside the E.U. unless the country has similar legislation to the D.P.A.
The products and services we offer will require us to share and obtain information about them, with third parties; such as creditors or credit agencies.
Money Debt and Credit Ltd will only use any data in accordance with the Act and its principles.
What information do we collect?
We collect personal information about potential customers (referred to as data subjects) when they complete an enquiry about our services either directly to us or through one of our marketing partners. Information may be collected via emails, data capture forms, transactions or website cookies.
When potential customers are invited to consider the nature of our services and terms of business with the view to forming an agreement for our services, information will be collected, which is relevant to the services being offered, via telephone conversations, emails and letters.
Money Debt & Credit, its subsidiaries and business partners may use the personal information supplied in order to assess the application and to carry out statistical analysis (we employ a third party marketing company which tracks statistical information only on all our email marketing).
The application process for some products will require us to share the data subject's information with, and obtain information about them from, credit reference agencies or fraud prevention agencies.
Disclosure of personal data
On data capture forms, there are specific tick boxes which can be ticked in order to 'opt-in' to be contacted for the purposes of marketing by both the business and carefully selected third parties.
We may disclose personal data to other companies within the group, our agents and service providers (e.g. providers of web hosting or maintenance services).
We may use personal information to inform data subjects about new services and special offers.
Where a specific opt-in agreement is given, we may share data subject's personal data with organisations who are our business partners and we or they may contact data subjects. Contact may be made by email, telephone, fax or mail about our products, special offers or other information which may be of interest to the data subjects from time to time. Such offers will be tailored to the perceived needs of the data subject wherever possible to minimise disruption.
We will only disclose information to third parties with the data subject's full knowledge and express permission which will be given via an opt-in agreement. The exception to this is when information is requested by law enforcement agencies, including fraud prevention.
If data subjects prefer not to receive any further marketing communications from us, they can cancel their opt-in at any time.
Information about other individuals
If an individual gives us information on behalf of someone else as data subject, they must confirm to the business that the data subject has given consent in writing for the individual to act on their behalf and has agreed that they can:
A solicitor or other power of attorney document is sufficient evidence of consent to disclose data belonging to someone else.
Recording of calls
For the purposes of quality assurance, training, fraud prevention and compliance, telephone calls will be recorded and may be monitored.
Our scripts and processes will provide full disclosure of this to customers.
Rights to access personal information
Individuals have a right to request a copy of the personal information we hold for which we will charge a small fee to cover administration costs. If any individual wishes to exercise this right they should:
• Put a request in writing specifying the personal data requested, including any account or reference numbers where applicable
• Enclose a cheque for £10.00 payable to Money Debt & Credit Limited.
Correcting any inaccuracies to personal information
Data subjects have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in their data, or to cancel their opt-in, free of charge. If they wish to exercise this right data subjects should:
• Put the request in writing specifying the information that is incorrect and what it should be replaced with
• Provide us with enough information to identify them (e.g. account or reference numbers etc)

We regularly review our security policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access to personal information, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss.
