IVA Company

How do I choose an IVA company to use?

Choosing an IVA company to use can be a daunting task. If you know someone who has already gone through the IVA process, their opinion or recommendation can be invaluable. If not, here are a few points to consider:

1. Make sure that you are comfortable with the advisor of the IVA company you are speaking to. Beware any IVA company that guarantees you an IVA, makes promises that seem to good to be true, or promises you results before understanding your true situation. Trust your instincts. If what the advisor is saying sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

2. Make sure that the IVA company you intend to use does not charge for an initial consultation or preparation of the paperwork. At Money Debt and Credit our initial advice and help is completely free.

3. Do not let any IVA company force you into entering an IVA. The debt advisor should discuss all your options with you and help you choose the best option for your circumstances.

4. Be wary of IVA companies who promise you that an unrealistic portion of your debt can be written off. Some companies have falsely advertised statements like "Write off 95% of your debt". It is not uncommon for up to 60% of a client's debts to be written off, and in exceptional cases up to 70%. Of course, this depends entirely on your circumstances.

Money Debt & Credit is a reputable IVA company in the UK, providing real help and advice for anyone struggling with debt. Contact us on freephone 0800 16 999 46 or simply fill in the application form on the right.
