- Thursday, 12 March 2009For Britons who are keen to assess difficulties in their personal finances,
IVA solutions could prove a better step forward than working overtime.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) explains that much of the overtime people now work is unpaid.
Employee relations adviser Mike Emmott suggests that this includes the time people spend on the train planning their day.
He says: "These days overtime is a busted concept for many workers."
But he adds that many employees might be feeling the need to work more hours in order to show their commitment to the company during the economic downturn.
For people who face financial problems and are unable to find paid overtime,
IVA solutions could be an alternative to regain a firmer economic footing.
With the best IVA deals on offer, as much as 70 per cent of existing debts can be written off by arranging repayments with all of an individual's creditors.
