- Monday, 1 June 2009Brits who fail to budget properly for their summer holidays could find their need for
IVA solutions increased as a result.
Figures from Tesco Personal Finance reveal the proportion of Britons planning to spend less on their getaway this year.
A third are considering taking tea bags and cereal with them, with the same proportion looking to self-catered holidays to avoid spending in restaurants.
But the financial services provider notes that 14 per cent of respondents to its survey will have no spare savings to raid if they reach the end of their budget.
Should they choose to divert cash from other areas - such as meeting loan repayments or credit card bills - their need for
IVA help could increase as a result.
IVA solutions could be an option for Britons whose debt burden is preventing them from taking a holiday at all.
With
IVA help, debts can be cleared in around five years, helping families back into the black.
