- Tuesday, 20 October 2009Ex-Leyton Orient vice chairman Nick Levene could consider entering into an
individual voluntary agreement (IVA) in order to repay hundreds of millions of pounds of reported debts.
Mr Levene, a City financier who disappeared a couple of weeks ago following money troubles, has recently reappeared and will now have to face up to his debt problems, with a number of creditors actively seeking repayment.
Louise Brittain, of Deloitte, has revealed that the firm is looking into the financial affairs of the trader in order to determine what is owed to whom.
She said: "Over the next few days, we will be trying to discover the scale of creditors' losses and what assets are left.
"This is a complex case that involves gathering evidence in a number of different countries."
Ms Brittain went on to say that it was one of the largest bankruptcy cases "in a long time".
Mr Levene tendered his resignation as vice chairman of Leyton Orient in a brief phone call with the football club's chairman Barry Hearn, according to the Daily Telegraph.
