- Wednesday, 6 January 2010Debt management in 2010 can be made easier simply through the use of a financial planner, one organisation has claimed.
Professional advice website unbiased.co.uk has launched a new financial calendar tool, encouraging people to keep track of their key payments and plan their spending.
The calendar can be revised at any time, with the option to transfer dates into a Microsoft Outlook calendar.
Unbiased.co.uk chief executive Karen Barrett said the initiative was aimed at providing consumers with help in assessing their personal finances.
"The new financial calendar gives consumers an easy to use tool to plan their finances and keep all of their financial dates in one place," she said.
New figures from Credit Action reveal that total UK personal debt at the end of November stood at £1,459 billion.
The report also states that 1,000 people seek some form of formal debt rescheduling plan every day.
