IVA process can be completed in 60 months in England and Wales - and faster in Scotland - it has been noted.
Europe Wallpapers reports that Trust Deeds, the Scottish form of
IVA advice, typically take 36 months to complete.
"It is assumed that by the end of the Trust Deed period all the debts are written off, thereby making the debtor legally debt-free," the news resource states.
There are other similarities between the
IVA process and Trust Deeds - such as the opportunity to avoid filing for bankruptcy.
With Trust Deeds, as is the case with
IVA advice, it can also be possible to prevent further interest accumulating on debts, fixing the total amount which must be paid back.
Europe Wallpapers explains that both processes are designed to protect the debtor and their creditors by ensuring the affordable portion of their loans will be repaid.
IVA advice from
