Figures from AXA show that more Britons are adopting a 'do it yourself' approach to managing their money.
This is seeing more turn to their friends or the internet for advice, which could mean they miss out on the guidance of a specialist

But with 80 per cent of consumers taking an active approach to money management in general, the benefits of approaching an
IVA consultant could be greater than ever.
Head of pensions and savings policy Steve Folkard adds that the decisions made by consumers now "could have a significant impact on our current and future financial stability".
For homeowners, the need to protect their financial footing could be even more important if they are to keep a roof over their heads.
