- Wednesday, 11 March 2009Whether or not you can keep your home might be a common IVA FAQ (Frequently Asked Question).
Saga, financial services provider to the over-50s, notes that older Britons might be particularly attached to their properties.
Alex Edmans, business development manager at Saga, says: "Over-50s do not just view their properties as a house but as a home.
"With a lifetime of fond memories from within their family homes they would not want to be forced to move."
Indeed, a recent survey by the financial services provider found that 48 per cent of the over-50s are looking forward to growing old in their current home.
As a result, such households could be left checking IVA FAQ pages online to find out whether their property is likely to be forcibly sold under the terms of an
individual voluntary arrangement.
With an IVA homeowners can ensure that their property is not put at risk due to their personal debt.
