- Thursday, 12 March 2009More pensioners may be looking into how to get an IVA in light of the continuing rate of real-terms inflation they face.
Independent pensions expert Dr Ros Altmann notes that, while some people are facing deflating prices at present, pensioners are not so lucky.
She adds that the reductions made to the base rate of interest in recent months have added to their difficulties by reducing their income earned on savings.
"Pensioners are the innocent victims of the policies being pursued to try and sort out the credit crunch," says Dr Altmann.
For those who have since entered debt difficulties, looking into how to get an IVA could be a wise option.
