People with debt management plans could alleviate stress by curbing spending

by Administrator 7. January 2011 11:01
Stressed out individuals, including those dealing with debt management, should try and curb their spending to help them feel more relaxed.

Ann McCracken, chair of the International Stress Management Association UK, suggested making a budget in order to reduce spending, while still being able to have an enjoyable lifestyle.

This could be important for stressed Brits as Ms McCracken claims that many people are feeling pressure in terms of maintaining their lifestyle without having the necessary funds.

She advised: "Take a factual look at your spending and decide how you can do it differently, but still have enjoyment whilst reducing your spending.

"You can then make choices to have what is essential and ditch extras - for instance if eating out is something you do a lot, explore the skill of eating in on a budget."

People with a debt management plan may like to take this advice as they could comfortably reduce their spending.

In this way those with debt management could find more money to pay it off and feel less stressed.

The Stroke Association revealed on January 5th that 15 per cent of adults in the UK considered themselves to be extremely stressed heading into 2011.
