IVA Advice at Money Debt and Credit

Money Debt & Credit is an established provider of real help and advice for anyone struggling with debt. Call us now and we could help to write off up to 60-70% of your debt with an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA), which means you will only have to pay back what you can afford.

If you are in debt and are struggling with the repayments, then there may be a possibility to write off the amount you cannot afford to pay back!

A Money Debt & Credit IVA could mean the total unsecured debt included within the agreement is reduced, and all interest on your accounts is frozen. It could also mean that creditor contact is eliminated. You could be clear of the unsecured debts included in your arrangement in as little as sixty months.

If an IVA is not a suitable solution for you, we will advise you on alternative debt solutions. Contact us on 0800 16 999 46 or simply fill in the application form on the right. Our advice is free and completely confidential.

What is an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA)?

'Individual Voluntary Arrangements' were introduced in 1986 as part of government legislation (The Insolvency Act of 1986) as a better alternative to bankruptcy. They provided people with a way to deal with their debts without extreme long term consequences.

An Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is a legally binding agreement between you and your creditors. The arrangement usually lasts for a period of up to five years, after which you will be clear of the debts included in your arrangement.

What does the IVA entail?

Essentially, the arrangement offers a chance for you to contribute one affordable monthly payment towards your debt. This continues for the length of the IVA, after which any outstanding debt is 'written off'. The amount written off depends on your individual circumstances and can be as much as 60-70% of the debt. This should eliminate creditor contact. Any assets, such as your home and car are usually protected under the IVA.

Furthermore, it is a totally private arrangement – nobody needs to know about it apart from you, your advisors and your creditors.

How can the IVA be set up?

The IVA process can begin through either one quick and confidential phone call, or the online application. All we need are a few details about your situation and the unsecured debts you have. You will not be committed to anything after the initial phone call so you have time to evaluate your options.
